These photos were taken in Washington DC at various war memorials scattered around the city in 2007.The Chador was specially made for this trip. A green chador with peace signs containing the famous Saadi verse about the equality of the human race, embroidered all over it. Like the Chador-dadar series this was a live installation in a public space.

Highly saturated versions of the photos were sent as spam-art to my mailing list over four weeks, a poster for each week, as reminders of the loss of life in each famous war the USA has been involved with. This series was shared on the internet on the last occasion that I believed we might be bombed here in Iran.
